Prince William and Kate Middleton, highly popular in the United States, have reportedly reapplied for US trademarks for their Royal Foundation.

This move has ignited speculation that the royal couple may be considering launching a charity in the U.S. in the future.

The application submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office reportedly includes "printed race numbers, clothing, footwear, headgear," hinting at possible charity fun runs or races focused on mental health.

However, despite this development and the positive news about the Princess of Wales gradually returning to work after her cancer treatment, former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond warned against overinterpreting these actions.

She expressed skepticism about any significant ventures in America being planned by William and Kate in the near term, as reported by OK!.

"I don't think we should read too much into this, as it has been suggested this is more a case of housekeeping probably keeping the application within its legal time limits or something similar," she stated. "There doesn't seem to be any imminent move to launch an American initiative."

Jennie issued a warning against reading too much into things, remarking: "But the very fact that they want to keep the application viable does suggest that, looking to the future, there may be new plans afoot," and then adding cautiously, "And that of course is positive.

"I certainly wouldn't want to put any kind of spin on the interest in moving into America. We shouldn't try to set up imaginary rivalries between William and Catherine and Harry and Meghan. They've got enough problems without us adding more unfounded speculation."

"But William and Catherine are clearly very popular in the United States. I've no doubt that if the Foundation can help with the many issues surrounding mental health worldwide, then that support would be welcomed... and would carry with it a good deal of heft because of William and Catherine."

Kate recently revealed that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment for cancer, and on Thursday, September 26, she made her first public appearance since that announcement.

The Duchess attended a matinee performance of the English National Ballet's Giselle at Sadler's Wells Theatre.
