On September 28, Buckingham Palace released beautiful throwback photos of the late Queen Elizabeth and the then-Prince Charles to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Scottish parliament.
On the official social media pages of the royal family, the Palace's spokesperson also released a notable statement.
The message reads, "Today we are celebrating 25 years of the Scottish Parliament!"
"The King, as Prince of Wales, attended the official opening of the Scottish Parliament with the late Queen and Duke of Edinburgh in July 1999."
Moreover, King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the event, organised to celebrate the significant moment.
Today, the King of England delivered a meaningful speech at the Scottish Parliament to mark its 25th anniversary.
King Charles said, "We are all, at the end of each day, united by our love of Scotland."
He added, "Because of its natural beauty, of course, but also because of its strength of character, based as it is on the extraordinary diversity of its peoples, whose range of ideas, skills, energy, passions, and frequently deeply-held beliefs, never cease to inspire me."
Notably, the King's public appearance came days before his son Prince Harry's much-awaited trip to the UK.
