Tito Jackson's son Taj, TJ, and Taryll remember father in an emotional tribute
Tito Jackson’s three sons, Taj, TJ, and Taryll, honoured their father after his death at age 70.
Shortly after The Jackson 5 original band member’s death was first reported by Entertainment Tonight on Sunday, September 15, his children took to Instagram to pen an emotional tribute for their late dad.
"It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us," in a joint post with their band 3T’s Instagram account, the sons began.
"We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken," they continued. "Our father was an incredible man."
Taj, TJ, and Taryll remembered some of their father's nicknames, such as "Coach Tito" and "Poppa T."
"He will be missed tremendously," they expressed. They shared Tito’s beautiful message, "Our father always preached, and that is 'Love One Another,'" before concluding the heartfelt note, "We love you, Pops."
The touching words in the post accompanied a carousel of pictures, including throwback photos of Tito with Taj, TJ and Taryll when they were children and the early beginnings of 3T.
Tito managed his sons’ band 3T, and all three were featured in the 2015 reality series The Jacksons: Next Generation.
Tito, one of the siblings of Janet Jackson and late breakdance legend Michael Jackson, passed away due to a heart attack, per the outlet.
