Bobby Deol is getting candid about starring in the Ranbir Kapoor led film Animal.
The Humraaz actor, who won hearts with his phenomenal performance as Abrar Haque in the 2023 film, recently opened up to Humans of Bombay about his film preferences.
He revealed that he initially feared losing the role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial.
The actor worried that the filmmakers might not need him if they were taking their time with Ranbir's portions of the shoot.
Deol said, "I waited 1.5 years to shoot the film. The film is 3.5 hours long, so they were shooting with Ranbir for a long time, and during that period, I kept thinking, ‘Are they going to change their mind? Will they suddenly say they don’t need me?"
The 55-year-old actor revealed that director Vanga approached him with the offer, which involved playing a mute character in the film.
Initially hesitant, Deol shared his reservations but ultimately felt compelled to accept the role, leading to his critically acclaimed performance.
The film first premiered on December 1, 2023, featuring a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Anil Kapoor.
