Jennifer Lopez has no trouble laughing at herself for her four failed marriages, the latest one being with her long-lost love, Ben Affleck.
The pop icon, 55, was at the Toronto Film Festival in support of her ex-husband’s new movie, Unstoppable — in which she also stars — where she was caught poking fun at her romantic history.
In a playful chat with her Unstoppable co-star Bobby Cannavale, the 55-year-old actress was overheard saying, “I’m a bad picker,” a candid admission caught on video by The Hollywood Reporter.
Cannavale had trouble hearing Lopez at first, prompting her to repeat the phrase several times with a laugh, adding, “It is what it is.” The term “bad picker” typically refers to someone who repeatedly chooses unsuitable partners.
Lopez’s comments come just weeks after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, her fourth husband, on what would have been their two-year wedding anniversary. The couple famously rekindled their romance decades after calling off their first engagement in 2004, only to split again.
The On the Floor hitmaker has been married to Ojani Noa (1997–1998), Cris Judd (2001–2003), and Marc Anthony (2004–2014), with whom she shares two children.
