Rich Homie Quan passed away at the age of 34 on Thursday, September 5, leaving the rap world in sheer sombre.
Since the Ride Out rapper’s death was announced after his girlfriend Amber Williams found him unresponsive on the couch, tributes for the artist have flooded social media from industry fellows and friends.
Singer Jacquees was one of the first to honour the late rapper. "Rest in Peace my brother Rich Homie Quan", he penned on X. "I love you for Life."
GloRilla paid her respects to the Flex maker by calling him a "legend" on her Instagram, followed by Megan Thee Stallion adding, "RIP to one of the best."
In addition, 2 Chainz expressed despair for their future collaboration, saying, "Dam lil brother, we just spoke about shooting a video, special prayer for you and your family."
Rapper Quavo also posted his tribute on Instagram. "May God be with us, never saw this being apart of our journey," he wrote in the picture's caption featuring himself, the Type of Way rapper, and several other artists.
Engineer Alex Tumay, who worked with Rich Homie Quan over the years, said the artist was "[o]ne of the nicest people I ever worked with and a true artist. Absolutely crushing news. RIP."
Playboi Carti, who received his first-ever award at the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players Awards hours after Quan's death, also dedicated his award to the Atlanta-born rapper.
Additionally, Lil Woody, who has previously had conflicting past with Quan, joined numerous other music industry figures to honour the rapper’s legacy.
