Kate Winslet reveals her go-to style amid 'stressful' shopping thoughts
Kate Winslet reveals unexpected thoughts on visiting malls in surprising encounter
Kate Winslet lets her guard down, revealing unexpected thoughts on visiting malls.
The Lee actress, widely known for playing Rose in the 1997 film Titanic, admitted that she doesn't agree with the concept of retail therapy and, in fact, finds it too 'stressful' to go out and buy things for herself.
Kate, who is also a mother to three children - two from her previous marriages and her youngest, Bear, with her current husband Edward Abel Smith, opened up to Harper’s Bazaar UK for their Life Lessons series.
She told the outlet, “My personal style, in a funny way, has not evolved much. I’ve always been in a jeans, comfy t-shirt and nice jacket sort of girl.
"I have made a decision recently that I am not going to go into shops anymore. I find them stressful.
The 48-year-old went on to say, "When something new comes into my life it’s usually from a shoot or it’s something my son doesn’t want to wear anymore, usually an oversized jacket.”
In addition, Kate stressed the importance of feeling comfortable and taking care of oneself from the inside out.
She added, "It’s important to feel comfortable, otherwise you’re wishing the occasion away, desperately want[ing] to get home and put your pyjamas on, and that’s not the right way to feel."
On professional front, the Oscar-winning actress is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Lee, which is slated to release on September 13.
