Jenna Ortega candidly shared what it took for Sabrina Carpenter to bring the Wednesday star on board for the opening song of her sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet.
The blonde and brunette duo lived up to the "Just a text away" saying when it came to the Taste music video, as per 21-year-old Ortega’s revelations to Capital UK during her press tour for the new film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
"She just texted me, and she sent me the information," the young actress revealed, noting that it was enough for her to join hands with the Espresso hitmaker.
"And I had one day off in LA, and I wasn't going to do anything, I was going to rest because we were doing [Beetlejuice] press and shooting season 2 of Wednesday, but Sabrina has also been so kind and generous towards me," Ortega continued. "Even when no one cared, I've known her since I was 12, and we get along really well and she's a friend."
"So, I was like, 'Yeah of course I'll do this for you' I feel like she'd do the same for me but it was just so much fun," she added. "It's nice when you do things like that, it doesn't feel like work."
Their friendship dates back to their Disney channel days. Ortega starred as Harley Diaz in Stuck in the Middle, while Carpenter played Maya Hart in Girl Meets World.
