Travis Kelce took his sweet time to reveal his new relationship with Taylor Swift to the public, claimed his brother Jason Kelce.
The former football player described how Travis hesitated to publicly acknowledge his relationship with the Anti-hero singer.
While talking on The Pivot Podcast this Tuesday, Jason said that the reason Travis was "cautious" about his romance with the Grammy-winning musician was because of the excessive media attention on Swift.
The retired footballer explained that because Taylor is "always under a microscope," the couple had initially decided to remain private.
"I think they’re still trying to do that. And, like, even now, like, I want to be respectful of them," he continued.
"And I don’t want anybody to feel like … I’m violating some type of private relationship, right?"
Jason noted that he does not feel like it is his "place" to discuss their romantic connection.
Moreover, the father-of-three shared, "But he is my brother, and I’m really happy for him. You just have to be conscious of how you’re saying things because he is under such a microscope."
Although the Kansas City Chiefs tight end kept it a secret, Jason didn’t find it hard to suspect when Travis attempted to give Taylor a bracelet with his phone number on it at the Kansas City, Missouri, stop of her Eras Tour in July 2023.
Back then, Travis shared on his and Jason’s New Heights podcast that he was unable to deliver the beaded trinket to the Lover songstress because she "didn’t want to meet" him and he left feeling "butthurt."
