Jennifer Lopez only “agreed” to buy the Beverly Hills mansion with Ben Affleck only because of the commodities the property offered, and not on the basis of any emotions.
“The $68 million mansion was Ben’s idea and a major compromise for her,” a source told People about the estranged couple's marital home, which they bought reportedly for a $60.8 million in May 2023 and already listed it for sale publicly just after a year later, in July 2024, for about 6 million more.
“She agreed to it because of its spacious layout, accommodating both their families, a gym and a pickleball court, office space, plus it has two private entrances,” the insider adds.
The source also described that although she agreed with the residence, she doesn’t prefer the ultra-modern lifestyle and added, “She loves the romantic, Spanish, European vibe.”
Another source came forward with reports contrary to the ones prior and stated how the residence was a non-convenient location for the actor.
“His life’s in Brentwood. His kids live there,” the insider told the outlet. “It was such a pain and time consuming for Ben to navigate traffic from their house. He never liked it.”
