Lily Collins gazed lovingly at the black and white photos scattered across her living room floor.
She and her husband, Charlie McDowell, were celebrating their three-year anniversary, and she wanted to commemorate the occasion with a special tribute.
As she began to post the pictures on Instagram, she couldn't help but smile at the memories they captured.
There was the one where they were laughing uncontrollably at a silly joke, their faces scrunched up in unison. Another showed them twinning in matching basic tees, their eyes sparkling with mischief.
The Emily in Paris star heart swelled with affection as she wrote the caption. "Happy anniversary to the man who makes me laugh harder than anyone," she began. She described how Charlie made her feel like the most special person in the world, even on her most barefaced and mundane days.
As she posted the carousel of photos, Lilly felt grateful for their three years together. She cherished the countless moments they'd shared, from spontaneous adventures to cosy nights in. And she knew that the best was yet to come.
Charlie, who was sitting beside her, read the caption and turned to Lilly with tears in his eyes. "I adore you too," he whispered, pulling her into a tender embrace.
