Vidya Balan is looking back on her journey in Bollywood as she gears up for her upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
During an exclusive interview at an event organized by FICCI FLO, Balan expressed her immense love for sarees.
The Kahaani actress, who is widely known for spreading body positivity in the industry, explained, “You don’t have to struggle to fit into it. It allows you to be your most authentic self."
“The saree has been with me through various sizes in my life, and I always feel sexy and confident when I wear one. It’s very important to feel sexy at any age.”
While sharing her fashion preferences, the actress also opened up about her harrowing experiences in the industry.
She reflected, “I faced a lot of rejection initially in the South. I was replaced in about 12 films. I was even labelled a jinx in the Malayalam film industry. I completely lost my confidence. But every experience, when I look back now, made me who I am today, and I like who I am today."
Although she reflected on various challenging instances from her past, the actress believes that 'all setbacks were a part of my journey.'
On professional front, the actress is set to reprise her role in Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, scheduled for release in November 2024.
