Chris Hemsworth is proving he’s not just a Marvel superhero but also a drumming dynamo.
The 41-year-old actor has been mastering the drums for the upcoming second season of Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, a National Geographic series focusing on mental wellness. Hemsworth, who recently learned about his increased risk of developing Alzheimer's, chose drumming as part of his journey to mental health.
The Avengers star debuted his new skills on stage alongside his friend Ed Sheeran, with a sneak peak of the performance shared to Instagram on Saturday, August 24.
The English musician revealed that Hemsworth reached out to him in December 2023 about his documentary and expressed interest in drumming.
“Chris came to visit me, and he’s learned drums and he’s coming onstage in front of 70,000 [people],” Sheeran, 33, revealed.
The video shows Hemsworth nervously preparing to perform before Sheeran introduced him to the crowd at an unknown location.
After a drum-filled rendition of Thinking Out Loud, Sheeran praised Hemsworth and presented him with a unique “drumming excellence” trophy shaped like a hand holding drumsticks.
