Jamie Oliver is revealing his plans for children despite having a successful career at the age of 49.
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, known for TV shows like The Naked Chef, recently revealed that he wishes to see his children face challenges and learn from their struggles as they navigate their own paths to success.
Oliver, who shares five children with his wife Juliette Norton, expressed an interest in his children learning skills during their formative years despite his son landing a TV role merely at the age of 13.
During an exclusive interview with Essex Life Magazine, he said, “I think confidence, worry and anxiety are all part of a cauldron of different emotions that challenge us.”
“And I think that they can present themselves when you’re young, as things that hold you back. But at the same time, as you get older, they provide a tension that makes you do your best work.”
Sharing his perspective on life, the 49-year-old further added, “Life’s not supposed to be linear or easy. I want my kids to struggle as much as possible, in a safe and controlled way. If it’s too easy, it’s really vanilla.”
