Gwyneth Paltrow is going through mixed emotions as she bids goodbye to her son, ready for his college journey.
The 51-year-old actress took to her Instagram on Friday and started a Q&A with her fans, in which she answered a number of questions candidly.
Paltrow, who shares 18-year-old son with Coldplay singer Chris Martin, revealed that as she not mentally prepared to become an 'empty nester' and her son is all set to leave.
One fan asked the Iron Man star, "Have you dropped both kids off to college? I'm doing that, I'm not ok."
Paltrow responded in a video message, “Not yet."
Her son enters the frame at that point and added, “She hasn’t quite gotten rid of me.”
Previously, Paltrow spoke to The Sunday Times, expressing the “impending” sense of “grief” given the major change she is going to experience as a mother.
The Seven actress remarked that she had mixed feelings about her kids leaving.
She detailed, “On the one hand, incredible sadness. A deep sense of impending grief.” Whereas, “On the other hand this is exactly what should be happening.”
Although Paltrow feels heartbroken about children leaving, she also acknowledges that it is a part of them growing up.
Sharing the memory of her first daughter, Apple leaving, the Oscar-winning star recalled, that she felt like the love of her life had broken up with her.
