Lily Allen is facing intense backlash after revealing on her Miss Me? podcast that she rehomed her dog because it chewed up her family’s passports and visas.

The singer described the situation as a major disruption, citing the high cost of replacing the documents and the delay it caused in her daughters visiting their father.

Fans took to social media to express their outrage, criticizing Allen for her decision to send the puppy away rather than taking responsibility for the mishap.

On X many accused her of negligence, with one user remarking, "Did she take responsibility for leaving the passports where the puppy could reach them? No. She just got rid of the dog. What an awful person."

Another commenter added, "That’s her fault, not the poor dog’s. She’s clearly an idiot of the highest order for not keeping important documents away from animals."

Allen’s admission has sparked a heated debate about pet care and personal responsibility, with many questioning her handling of the situation.

In a candid confession, Allen revealed that her ex-husband, Sam Cooper, refused to let her use her now-husband David Harbour’s surname on the new passports, adding fuel to the already frustrating situation.

Despite this pet-related fiasco, it seems Allen isn’t letting the past hold her back. She and her daughters, Ethel and Marnie, are eagerly preparing to welcome a new puppy into their lives, affectionately naming it after soccer star Jude Bellingham.
