Queen Elizabeth's grandchildren spoke highly of her and shared close relationships with her, holding her in great affection.

Following her death, her eight grandchildren—Prince William, Prince Harry, Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, James, and Lady Louise—came together to honour her memory with a vigil around her coffin in Westminster Hall.

Despite their close bond, the Queen was known to address any perceived missteps. According to a royal expert, the Queen confronted Prince William and had a significant argument with him when he disregarded one of her instructions, reported Mirror.

The claim was made in royal expert Robert Jobson's bombshell new book Catherine, The Princess of Wales. Jobson - a journalist and author - claimed Charles issued advice to his son, which the former Queen had agreed with - about some of his travel arrangements, he defied both their instructions.

This reportedly had previously led to a big row, and the late Queen "did not hold back" in letting Prince William know just how displeased she was with his actions.

"One recent source of disagreement is William's stubborn refusal to take his father's advice on safeguarding the succession. Earlier this year, the King had raised concerns with his son about the wisdom of William using his helicopter to fly his entire family around the country," the royal author wrote.

The expert claimed that this advice had also been issued by the late Queen, but that William hadn't listened to her. "An experienced pilot, William had upset the late Queen when he defied her request not to pilot his family the 115 miles from Kensington Palace to Anmer Hall, their home in Norfolk.

"The Queen, haunted by the 1967 crash that killed the Captain of the Queen's Flight (although no royals were on board), 'did not hold back'," when it came to expressing herself to William, an aide told the author.

Prince William is, undoubtedly, an experienced helicopter pilot, having worked as a Search and Rescue pilot in the RAF, where he worked in Anglesey. He also worked in the Air Ambulance Service from March 2015 to July 2017.
