Brad Pitt is pushing back against Angelina Jolie’s recent claims that he is trying to silence her through a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) amid their ongoing dispute over their shared vineyard in their years-long divorce proceedings.
On July 25, Jolie’s attorneys asserted in court filings obtained by Fox News Digital that Pitt, 60, is attempting to force her to sign an NDA to cover up the abuse allegations against him.
However, the Fight Club star disputed this claim, with his attorneys telling Fox News, “This was a simple business dispute, but, sadly, this legal attack is just the latest example of them harming the entire family by making it personal.”
They further argued, “The other side is desperately and repeatedly trying to do anything to distract from the fact that it was her — and not Brad — who requested an NDA about the divorce, a fact that completely undermines the legitimacy of their never-ending attacks.”
“They don’t want anyone to focus on the fact that she deprived the kids of their inheritance of Miraval by breaching the agreement and selling it and taking the money,” Pitt’s team contended.
Previously, Jolie claimed in her court filing that Pitt is trying to “force her silence about his abuse and cover-up.”
A source close to Jolie told Fox News Digital, “Brad Pitt’s insistence on an NDA to cover up his criminal conduct is unconscionable, and no abuse survivor should be coerced and forced into silence.”
