Zac Efron was rushed to the hospital after being rescued from a swimming pool in Ibiza over the weekend.
Efron’s representative confirmed the news to TMZ of a “minor swimming incident” in Ibiza, Spain, which occurred on Friday night.
The High School Musical alum, 36, was found in the pool of a villa by two workers who pulled him out. The specifics of the incident remain unclear, including whether Efron experienced a medical emergency or was at risk of drowning.
However, Efron’s rep described the hospital visit as a “precautionary measure,” reassuring fans that the actor is “recovering just fine” since being released from the hospital on Saturday morning.
Despite the scare, the Iron Claw actor has not yet addressed the incident on social media.
Efron’s trip to Spain follows his attendance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he was seen at the opening ceremony on July 26; the Greatest Showman star shared a photo of himself posing by the Seine river, indicating his presence in Europe for the Games.
