Adele subtly hinted at her rumored engagement to fiancé Rich Paul while launching her long-anticipated residency in Munich on Friday.
The couple who have been together since 2021, reportedly got engaged last month after Paul proposed in her hometown of Tottenham, North London.
During her Munich performance, Adele made a cryptic remark about her 'personal life'.
Stating, "What's going on in my personal life? Nothing because I've been getting ready for this."
The concert, which marked the beginning of her ten-date residency, drew an impressive 75,000 fans to the specially constructed arena.
Despite ongoing speculation that Adele and Rich Paul were already married, recent reports suggest that the couple has only just become engaged.
According to The Sun, Paul proposed last week in Tottenham, London—Adele’s hometown—a gesture believed to be significant given her reported plans to move back to the UK.
Rumors of a marriage emerged last year when it was claimed Adele and Paul confirmed their union at Alan Carr's comedy show in Los Angeles.
Audience members at the event reported that Adele responded affirmatively when Carr inquired about recent marriages, though the couple had not publicly confirmed the news at that time.
Her Munich concert faced unexpected challenges on Friday night due to severe weather conditions and a wardrobe malfunction.
The superstar, who dazzled the audience in a midnight blue, floor-length dress with a dramatic train, had to pause her performance after the garment became drenched from the torrential rain.
Addressing the crowd, she explained the situation: "Sadly I have to take this gorgeous train off because it is wet and heavy," before calling on her backing singers for assistance.
Despite the hiccup, she kept the mood light, remarking, "At least it's not thundering and lightning. Jesus!"
Adele further joked about her choice of attire, saying, "I got a weather update and it said it wasn't gonna be raining in time for the show, so I thought, 'Let me wear this dress with this enormous train on it,' like a right f***y."
