King Charles III's younger son Prince Harry is said to have accused two members of the royal family for his split from the Firm.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said goodbye to the royal family in 2020, just two years after their wedding, and relocated to the US for a more private life.
The couple were even ordered to leave Frogmore Cottage last year. Now, it's been revealed who the Duke holds the most responsible for what he perceives as his harsh treatment by the royal family.
Kate, who was central to the situation, is not believed to be the one he's the most upset with.
When the Sussexes made the decision to step away from the royal family in 2020, Kate didn't oppose this move - but she was firm in her belief that they should lose their patronages and HRH titles upon their departure.
Sources close to Harry say he was taken aback and hurt at the time - even though he chose to leave, to Harry it felt like a spiteful banishment.
Harry has felt like an outsider, and according to a high-ranking royal insider, he's had a hard time accepting that the entire royal family seemed to turn against him all at once, says Royal author Robert Jobson in his latest book Catherine, the Princess of Wales: The biography.
Harry's resentment was directed towards his brother William, who is next in line for the throne, and his father King Charles III, with whom he shares a strained relationship, as reported by Mail Online.
The estranged prince has made several trips back to the UK for various reasons, including the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, her subsequent funeral, and the Coronation of the King in May 2023. However, as a non-working member of the family, he did not make an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony or play any official role during these events.
More recently, in February, the Prince flew back home for a brief 45-minute meeting with his father, Charles, following the news of his prostate cancer diagnosis. He has also been making more frequent visits due to his ongoing court cases against newspaper publishers.
However, with no signs of reconciliation between William and Harry, and Fergie and Prince Andrew resuming public appearances over the past two years, the Royal insider is left wondering if Charles is trying to send a message to his successor.
"Perhaps the King is subliminally trying to show William that forgiving one's brother and giving him a second chance is a strength, not a weakness. Prince William disagrees and as for his own brother, as far as he is concerned there is no way back," revealed an insider.
