Palace greenlights Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's bold decision
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to receive good news from Palace
King Charles is seemingly taking a big step to welcome estranged son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle into the royal fold.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped back from their senior royal positions in 2020 and start a new life, are set to visit Colombia as a part of their commitment for global philanthropy on behalf of their Archewell Foundation.
According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, the tour could not have been possible unless the couple received some sort of approval from the Palace or King Charles himself.
“It will be good to know if this has been sanctioned by the Palace or if Harry had a conversation with his father asking if he can do this,” Harrold told Express.co.uk.
“I just can’t see them doing it without some sort of approval because this would upset the monarchy if they do it off their own back and I think there could be repercussions if they haven't been given permission by the royal household,” he continued.
Harrold explained that if Harry and Meghan were to carry out a royal tour, then it means they are “acting as working royals.” He suggested that this could be “an indication of them stepping back into royal life.”
The couple previously visited Nigeria in May, with regards to the Invictus Games, which also sparked outrage from royal watchers, dubbing it as a ‘faux royal’ tour.
