Willie Brown, former San Francisco mayor and Kamala Harris’ one-time boyfriend, claimed that he has a photo of the Democratic presidential candidate on Donald Trump’s private jet.
The former political mentor of Harris, Brown, further added that he had introduced the vice president to Trump in the 1990s, Politico reported.
According to sources, Brown was having a conversation at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with his associates, when Trump sent his jet to call Brown and his associates to Teterboro, New Jersey.
Additionally, this visit was planned to take advice from Brown about building a new property in Los Angeles.
“Trump was acting on the advice of casino tycoon Steve Wynn. Wynn told Trump that ‘If I were doing anything in California, I’d talk to Willie Brown because anybody else will take your money and do nothing,’” Brown told Politico.
Speaking to Politico, the 90-year-old stated that the Democratic candidate in the forthcoming elections was not at the meeting but was seen on the plane.
“While Harris did not attend the meeting with Trump, a photograph exists of the Californians on board the plane. I have the picture,” he said with a smile.
According to journalist Dan Morain’s 2021 book, Kamala’s Way: An American Life, Trump’s jet was luxurious with valuable art pieces.
“The jet was gilded, had valuable paintings on its cabin walls, and had notes left for Trump by his then-wife, Marla Maples.”
However, the deal between Trump and Brown never came to fruition, and Trump and Harris likely did not meet then.
