Sushmita Sen’s former boyfriend Rohman Shawl opened up about sharing screen space with the actress following their split in 2021.
The former pair have once again sparked curiosity among fans after they were spotted together at recent events.
During a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, the 29-year-old actor, who dated the Main Hoon Na actress from 2018-2021, hinted at his ex-partner’s stardom, applauding the work she has done over the years.
In response to a question inquiring about his acting plans with Sushmita in the near future, Shawl said, “I have said this earlier as well that I will take time to reach a level where I can share screen space with her. I will have to reach that level first. I cannot just get up and go.”
Reflecting on their ‘special’ bond, the musical artist claimed that the two have been together for over six years.
He said, “We are together for six years. What’s new to this? We have always been friends and that will always continue. We share something special and that is visible also.”
Shawl’s statement came days after Sushmita confirmed that she has been single for the past couple of years.
Speaking to Rhea Chakraborty in a recent episode of the podcast, Chapter 2, the actress said that she wasn’t romantically interested in anyone at the moment.
Putting all the dating rumours to rest, Sushmita said, “I have been single for a while now. Three years, to be precise. I am not even interested in anyone at the moment."
For the unversed, the two announced their breakup via an Instagram post in December 2021, stating that they will always remain close friends.
