BLACKPINK is slated to kick off their highly anticipated return to the music scene in 2025.
YG Entertainment founder Yank Hyun-suk announced the news in a YouTube video posted on Sunday, July 21.
In addition to resuming their musical journey, the all-girl group band featuring Jennie Kim, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé will initiate a world tour.
"There will be a highly anticipated comeback from BLACKPINK, and it will also be the year that BLACKPINK starts their world tour," the agency’s CEO excited fans with the announcement of the upcoming international tour.
Though the comeback and world tour have been revealed to the fans, details regarding any specific dates are kept under wraps.
It is pertinent to note that BLACKPINK’s return to the scene will mark its first release since Born Pink was dropped in 2022.
This comeback news comes after YG Entertainment announced that the group would celebrate its eighth anniversary with a special event for fans on August 8.
Additionally, BLACKPINK members Rose, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo debuted under YG Entertainment in August 2016 and have since never failed to produce chart-topping hits, including As If It’s Your Last, Kill This Love, BOOMBAYAH, Whistle, and Lovesick Girls.
