Halle Berry has embraced her inner Catwoman, both on and off-screen.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 57-year-old actress looked back on how her role in the 2004 blockbuster Catwoman not only boosted her career but also transformed her into a cat lover, despite being a “self-proclaimed, lifelong dog person.”
“I became a cat lover because of it,” Berry shared, further sharing her newfound passion for rescuing stray cats.
“I just rescued four kitties I found in my yard three weeks ago,” she revealed.
After her career-altering role as the titular character in the DC movie, Berry became the most well-known Catwoman.
“I’m a Catwoman through and through, because of that experience and those relationships,” she reflected, adding that the “experience changed me.”
Last month, the mom-of-two took to her Instagram to share her latest rescue mission.
She introduced two kittens, Boots and Coco, from a family of strays she found in her yard.
Berry explained, “I got the mommy spayed and released her back in my yard and she’s now our outdoor cat and the other 2 babies I’ve found a forever home for and these two are our new lovies. It’s a full house over here!”
