King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark have embarked on an international trip, leaving their son, Crown Prince Christian, in the role of regent.

The Danish royals departed on Saturday morning and are expected to resume their official duties on Tuesday.

Crown Prince Christian, the eldest of King Frederik and Queen Mary's four children, has previously served as regent during his parents' absences on state visits.

At 18 years old, he ascended to first in line to the Danish throne in January, following his father's succession to Queen Margarethe.

Recently, heachieved a significant milestone by graduating from Ordrup Gymnasium in Copenhagen in June, the same school attended by his 17-year-old sister, Princess Isabella.

The younger siblings of Crown Prince Christian of Denmark, 13-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, are pursuing their education at different schools: Vincent attends Tranegårdsskolen in Gentofte, while Josephine moved to Kildegård Privatskole last summer.

Recently, he celebrated his graduation from Ordrup Gymnasium in Copenhagen, a moment captured in endearing family photos where he stood taller than his parents.

Wearing a traditional Danish graduation hat, a symbol marking the completion of his academic journey, Christian participated in the customary practice where family members place the hat on the graduate's head after their final exam.

This tradition holds significance for the future king, symbolizing his future role wearing a crown.
