Marvel has released the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World, offering an exciting glimpse into the fourth installment of the Captain America series.
The preview showcased Anthony Mackie, the MCU’s new Captain America, facing a fiery hulking threat.
In the final seconds of the nearly two-minute video, viewers got a glimpse of the Red Hulk hurling Cap’s vibranium shield during a battle set amidst the cherry blossoms of Washington, DC.
The high-stakes action in the upcoming film, which is slated to hit theaters next year, also introduces Giancarlo Esposito in a mysterious villain role.
Esposito’s character is seen wielding an automatic assault rifle and firing at an off-camera target.
The film follows the story of Sam Wilson, played by Mackie, who assumed the mantle of Captain America after Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers in the 2021 series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Now, with Mackie headlining his own Captain America movie, Harrison Ford joins the series as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, taking over the role following the late William Hurt.
Ross, now president of the United States, tasks Wilson with reconstructing his Avengers team.
Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled to release on February 14, 2025.
