Shania Twain ‘honoured’ to host 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards
Shania Twain reveals she wants to celebrate awesome fans who supported country musicians
Shania Twain has recently admitted she feels honoured to host the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on September 26.
In a statement shared via Deadline, Shania said, “Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love.”
“I am honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans. Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances. Giddy Up!” stated the singer
Jen Neal, EVP of Live Events and Specials at NBCU Entertainment, praised Shania, saying, “She is the perfect person to help us celebrate the country’s finest as she is a beloved member of the country community.”
The outlet reported that the second annual celebration will be held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. In 2023, the inaugural show was hosted by Little Big Town.
At the time, some of the performers included Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, Dan + Shay, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Toby Keith, and Wynonna Judd.
Interestingly, Toby Keith and Wynonna were honoured with Icon awards.
