Hoda Kotb recently reflected on her experience of appearing on the Law & Order: SVU almost a decade ago.
During an episode of Today on Thursday, July 11, the anchor told Jenna Bush Hager that she wasn't able to land the role she wanted.
She said: "I wanted to play someone who died. They said no."
In addition, Kotb explained that she portrayed the role of a TV anchor in season 16's third episode Producer's Backend.
The 59-year-old, who didn't remember the exact plot, said: "I think I played a journalist who was interviewing somebody who might have been guilty of something. I think that's what I did."
However, she concluded her statement adding: "But anyway, it was really fun."
Kotb, who has appeared in various TV shows and films, began her career in the industry with a 2009 episode of Lipstick Jungle.
This came after Bush Hager's acting debut in the upcoming Christmas film Holiday Touchdown: A Chief's Love Story was announced on the same day.
Meanwhile, reading though various titles, Kotb exclaimed: "I was in Sharknado twice!"
For the unversed, the TV anchor has made appearances on 30 Rock, Nashville, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, The Other Two, Girls5Eva and Younger.
