Pakistan will host India for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, with match between the archrivals is expected to take place on March 1, Indian media reported citing an ICC Board member.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host this thrilling encounter between traditional rivals. It should be mentioned that all of India's matches will take place at this single venue in Lahore.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has submitted the Champions Trophy schedule to the International Cricket Council (ICC). However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to give its approval.

"The PCB has submitted the draft of the 15-match ICC Champions Trophy. Seven games in Lahore, three in Karachi and five in Rawalpindi," an ICC Board member said.

The proposed schedule divides the teams into two groups with Group A comprising Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B consists of England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan. All participating countries have expressed their support for the Champions Trophy to the ICC, with the BCCI set to make a decision after consulting with the government.

The proposed dates for the Champions Trophy are from February 19 to March 9, with March 10 designated as a reserve day. Last month, the PCB submitted the schedule for next year's Champions Trophy to the ICC for final approval, confirming that the tournament will be held in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.

Lahore will host seven matches, including the final, while Karachi's National Stadium will host the opening match and a semi-final, totaling three matches in the city. Rawalpindi will host five games, including a semi-final.

The event marks the return of the ICC Champions Trophy after a gap of eight years. In the last edition in 2017, Pakistan emerged victorious after defeating India in the final.
