Nicole Kidman has recently shared she depends on her teen daughters for unfiltered feedback.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Nicole, who shares two teenage daughters with husband Keith Urban, said, “They’re very supportive.”
However, The Invasion actress stated, “They're also like, ‘OK, calm down.’”
Nicole, who stars in Netflix’s new rom-com, A Family Affair, remarked, “I do think it's important not to have sycophants [around you].”
The Stoker star added, “And it's not also seeking out really horrible criticism… We're all a work in progress, as they say.”
Nicole is currently seen in a new movie, A Family Affair, alongside Zac Efron and Joey King.
The actress previously received accolades at Kidman’s recent American Film Institute Life Achievement Award ceremony in Los Angeles.
“It was a really warm night,” recalled Nicole.
The Lion actress mentioned, “My sister came, and my girls. That was the first time that they'd ever been on a red carpet, and Keith was there.”
“I had all my nieces and nephews as well. The whole family was there, and that's what I loved. It also made me look back, which is not something I often do,” she noted.
Nicole’s co-star Zac also offered a tribute to the actress at her AFI ceremony, and disclosed he “had a huge, huge crush” on the actress when they starred together in 2012’s The Paperboy.
Meanwhile, A Family Affair is going to begin streaming on June 28 on Netflix.
