Katy Perry is facing controversy after she seemed to avoid a fan's question about collaborating with producer Dr. Luke on new music , although she knew about Kesha's sexual misconduct allegations against him.
Perry's new single Woman's World, which is being billed as a feminist anthem, and other tracks from her upcoming sixth studio album were recently revealed to have been co-produced by Dr. Luke.
Dr. Duke, real name Łukasz Sebastian Gottwald, is the guy behind several of Perry's career-defining successes, including 2008's I Kissed a Girl, 2010's Teenage Dream, and 2013's Roar.
According to a video obtained and shared by TMZ, Perry was questioned for the controversial collaboration while she was leaving the Paris Fashion Week event on Wednesday.
A fan asked the diva pretty close up, “Isn't your album about women empowerment? Why are you working with Dr. Luke?”
Perry didn’t answer the fan's question and slid into her SUV.
The songstress worked hard on her new album.
She “knew exactly the album she wanted to make and put together the team to make it happen,” a Capitol Records source told the outlet.
