Ariana Grande came under fire for revealing she would love to have dinner with Jeffrey Dahmer

The family of a Jeffrey Dahmer’s victim believe Ariana Grande is “sick” for her insensitive comments and would like her to publicly apologise.

After Grande infamously declared she would love to have dinner with the serial killer – who was murdered by a fellow inmate in 1994 – the family of Tony Hughes – a deaf, non-verbal victim of Dahmer killed in 1991 – told TMZ that the pop star, 31, should publicly apologise.

“To me, it seems like she’s sick in her mind,” expressed Hughes’s mother, Shirley, who seemed “disturbed" by Grande laughing while making the confession, showing to empathy for the families of Dahmer’s 17 victims.

“It’s not fancy or funny to say you would have wanted to have dinner with him. It’s also not something you should say to young people, which she did,” Shirley added.

Meanwhile, Tony’s sister, Barbara, would “love to see Ariana apologise, so her fans know this isn’t right,” per the outlet.

The comments in question came during Grande’s appearance on Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast, during which she recounted an old interaction with a “young fan” who asked Grande, “If you could have dinner with anyone living or dead, who would it be?”

“And I was like, ‘Jeffrey Dahmer’s pretty fascinating. I think I would have loved to have met him, maybe with like a third party or something. But I have questions.’ And the parents were like, ‘We’ll explain it later, sweetheart," Grande recalled.
