Prince William beats Prince Harry to carry on mum Diana's work
Prince William follows in the footsteps of Princess Diana in bid to 'make difference'
Prince William has taken upon himself to expand work of his late mother and help those in need all across the UK and beyond.
The Prince of Wales celebrated first year on Wednesday, June 26, since he launched The Centrepoint to tackle homelessness in the country.
Speaking to OK! magazine, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond claimed the royal son is following in the footsteps of Princess Diana, who familiarized him and Prince Harry with the plight of homelessness as kids.
"Diana must take much of the credit for making William into the person he is, and for his determination to make some real changes to our society,” she enthused.
“It’s brave to set yourself up for possible failure. The task is a huge one and good on William for trying to make a difference."
Purpotedly throwing shade at his younger brother, Jennie asked: "Which other young Prince had ever been shown what it’s like to live on the streets, been taken to visit hostels for the homeless and learned at first hand what it’s like to be down and out?
William is determined to replicate the same values in his own kids he shares with Kate Middleton, as he affirmed in an interview with The Sunday Times.
"I think when I can balance it with their schooling, they will definitely be exposed to it. On the school run, we talk about what we see.
“When we were in London, driving backwards and forwards, we regularly used to see people sitting outside supermarkets and we'd talk about it.
"They [will] grow up knowing that actually, do you know what, some of us are very fortunate, some of us need a little bit of a helping hand, some of us need to do a bit more where we can to help others improve their lives,” the future King of England said at the time.
