TV star Rylan Clark recently opened up about the full extent of his “harrowing” breakdown following split from former husband Dan Neal.
According to Daily Star, the much-loved TV presenter revealed that it was so severe he lost his speech and vision for some time.
This Morning’s presenter, who is set to make a return to screens shared in an exclusive interview: "I lost my speech. I lost my vision for a little bit... It was like having a really bad stroke. It was just so bizarre."
The former X Factor alum compared the experience to suffering from a “bad stroke.”
Rylan’s mental health took a down turn following his split from Neal in 2021, which came shortly after he was positioned fifth on series 9 of The X Factor.
As per The Mirror, the TV presenter didn’t go for a break until his marriage suffered, leading to a suicide attempt and visiting psychiatric hospital for care.
Rehashing the painful experience, the 34-year-old star reflected: "It took me months to go back to work. I think I was off for like four or five months. And I rarely would have four hours off, let alone f***ing four months."
He said it was crucial to “start again” and “reset” his life.
For the unversed, Rylan is known for his appearances on Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother.
