While the Al Nassr and the Inter Miami player may play in different leagues, there are chances of a one-last dance between the GOATs.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are two of the greatest players of all time.
They have a huge fan base who would love to see them play against each other one last time before they bid goodbye to their illustrious careers full of records and stardom, Times Now News reported.
Messi turned 37 this week, while Ronaldo is 39 years old and almost at the end of his agreement with the Saudi Arabian club with only one year remaining.
The two athletes have discussed retirement on several occasions. Messi, while discussing the prospect of retiring in an interview, said that he won’t continue playing longer than necessary.
While the Al Nassr and the Inter Miami player may play in different leagues, there are chances of a one-last dance between the GOATs.
There is a chance they could face each other one last time at the international stage.
For this to happen, Ronaldo, who is currently part of the Portugal team, will have to win the Euro 2024, while Messi, who is representing Argentina, will need to win the Copa America 2024.
If Argentina and Portugal both win their respective tournaments, then fans will get to see the two GOATs play in the Finalissima 2025.
Finalissima is a newly introduced tournament played between the winners of the Copa America and the Euros.
