Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's younger daughter Princess Eugenie has sent a  touching message with her iconic photo as feud over royal lodge intensified.

Princess Eugenie turned to her Instagram story to share her throwback picture from her 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank with a meaningful message.

In the iconic photo, Eugenie is seen wearing a wedding dress with a low back, designed to display her scar from an operation which took place when she was 12 years old.

Eugenie's post comes amid royal family's health crisis as King Charles and Princess Kate are battling cancer, while Princess Anne is in hospital for the treatment of her head injury after an unfortunate incident.

Eugenie had major surgery on her back to treat a curvature of the spine in 2002. The Princess chose to wear a dress on her big day that revealed her scar, hoping it would honour those who helped her and inspire others with scoliosis.

The beautiful dress was designed by British fashion designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos from the label Peter Pilotto.

Eugenie wrote: "Did you know it's Scoliosis Awareness Day tomorrow?"

She later issued a statement with her Instagram post, saying: "I wanted to do a #throwback and a shout out @horatiosgarden and @the.rnoh.charity in the lead up to #internationalscoliosisawarenessday.

The Statement reads: "@horatiosgarden is a charity that builds gardens in hospital spinal centres around the UK and provide a much-needed space for patients to enjoy nature in an accessible way.

"Horatio’s Garden London & South East opened in 2020 at the London Spinal Cord Injury Centre in the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore which is the hospital I was operated on with scoliosis as a child.

"I am also so proud to be patron of @the.rnoh.charity , the charity that looks after and supports all the patients at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital @rnohnhs."

She concluded: "Whilst you may not experience scoliosis, supporting these charities can help support hundreds of children and patients in need for care."
