Prince William has been praised for taking after his mother Princess Diana with seamless balancing of personal and royal life.
The Prince of Wales celebrated his 42nd birthday last week, grooving to Taylor Swift’s iconic songs at her concert in London alongside Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 8.
He has also been spotted with his oldest son at several football matahces including FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium in London last month.
Speaking to FEMAIL, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams heralded his attempt to relate to a younger audience while keeping up with royal traditions.
He noted the future King of England’s decision to grab a selfie with the global pop star underscored his efforts to “rejuvenate his image” among younger royal fans, prompting him to become “people’s prince”.
“William has clearly shown that he can combine the formal and informal brilliantly,” the royal expert claimed.
“He can both stand in for his father at a D-Day commemoration and visit British troops on the border with Ukraine,” Richard added, “and also pose for a selfie with two of his children taken by the iconic singer Taylor Swift at Wembley as well as "dad-dancing" to her catchy lyrics during her concert at Wembley Stadium.”
“... It is pivotal that royals avoid an image which is too aloof and formal. Diana managed, brilliantly, to carve her own niche with her amazing charitable work and, despite personal unhappiness, she became iconic,” he shared.
“People felt they could relate to her and, in an unprecedented way, the nation showed this when she died.”
