Dakota Johnson gracefully handled a wardrobe malfunction during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, June 19.
The 34-year-old actress was on the show to promote her latest film, Daddio, co-starring Sean Penn.
After a clip from the movie was shown, Johnson was seen adjusting her dress, struggling with a strap that had come undone.
"Part of your dress just came unhooked. You all right?" Kimmel, 56, asked the star.
"My dress just — it just fell off," Johnson replied with a laugh.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star was donning a black slip dress with straps made of metal embellished with flowery charms. Johnson had to hold the strap in place to prevent the top of her dress from falling because it seemed like one of them had broken.
"Well, I'll just hold it," she said.
As the host made a joke about Johnson only having to "hold the important part," the actress responded by covering her chest with both hands to keep her dress up.
"The movie is really good," she joked while holding the pose.
Answering questions about her new film, Johnson handled the rest of the interview like a pro, keeping the strap in place without revealing herself.
Johnson is hardly the first to have a wardrobe mishap on late-night television. During her guest appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden in January 2022, she had trouble sitting properly in her tight red Magda Butrym minidress.
