Dick Van Dyke appeared alongside Carol Burnett on The Carol Burnett Show during its 11-season run
Dick Van Dyke joined his longtime friend Carol Burnett to celebrate her hand and footprint ceremony.
As reported by People on Thursday, June 20, the 91-year-old actress marked a momentous occasion at TCL Chinese Theatre with Van Dyke, 98, who appeared alongside her on The Carol Burnett Show during its 11-season run from 1967 to 1978.
At the ceremony, the two legendary entertainers, who have maintained a close friendship throughout their respective illustrious careers, posed for photos outside the theatre.
In some pictures, Burnett held onto Van Dyke’s arm as they both beamed with joy. In another photo, Bob Mackie joined the duo.
The event was a star-studded affair, with Burnett’s Palm Royale co-stars Laura Dern and Bob Odenkirk in attendance. Comedian and television host Jimmy Kimmel also spoke during the ceremony.
"Thank you Carol Burnett for giving me the honor of honoring you at your exceptionally well-deserved and long overdue handprint & footprint ceremony this morning in Hollywood," following the event, Kimmel expressed his gratitude on Instagram.
Other notable attendees included Palm Royale star Allison Janney, Bill Hader, Jane Lynch, Lisa Ann Walter, and Maya Rudolph.
