Fans of Yellowstone are rejoicing at latest update on second half of the fifth and final season of the series.
The series, formerly led by Kevin Costner, is set to return in November, with its first episode premiering on second Sunday of the month on the Paramount Network.
The first eight episodes of Season 5 aired in the fall of 2022 and the second half of final season of Yellowstone only began production in Montana last month after going on an indefinite haitus.
The recent announcement was followed by a sad news from Costner, who announced his exit from the series via a heartfelt video.
“After this long year-and-a-half of working on ‘Horizon’ and doing all the things that that’s required — and thinking about ‘Yellowstone,’ that beloved series that I love, that I know you love — I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue Season 5B or into the future,” Costner said in the video.
“It was something that really changed me. I loved it and I know you loved it. I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning. I love the relationships that I’ve been able to develop. And I’ll see you at the movies.”
Yellowstone has been mired with a slew of controversies, prompting rumours about frosty relations between Costner and Taylor Sheridan, as well as the former’s reluctance to return due to his upcoming film project, Horizon.
