Ben Affleck discussed his personal and professional lives in detail during a recent appearance on Kevin Hart's talk programme Hart to Heart.
Affleck, 51, addressed the widespread belief that he always appears irate in pictures throughout the talk.
Affleck discussed his observations of this event and explained the reasons behind his frequently sombre facial expressions.
“I’m also a little bit shy,” the Air star said on the show. “I also don’t like a lot of attention. That’s why people see me, and they’re like, ‘Why’s this dude always mad?’ Because somebody has their camera and sticks it in my face and I’m like, ‘OK, here we go.'”
He said that he doesn't "give a f***" if he is being photographed at a club or premiere with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, or by himself, but he becomes a little more defensive when his kids or stepkids are in the picture.
The Argo star continued by saying that occasionally his face just seems that way.
“By the way, I also might be somebody who I do find myself — I’ll be sitting at home, and they’re like, ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘Nothing. Nothing’s wrong,'” Affleck said. “I’m like, ‘Nothing. I’m listening to this thing.’ I start thinking, is something wrong?”
When Hart jokingly suggested that Affleck might have a "resting bitch face," the actor quickly corrected him, saying, "Bitch?! Now, now, I have resting hard face."
The actor went on to explain that the public's perception of his expressions online often doesn't align with his true emotions, noting, "People are projecting something onto me that I don't feel about myself at all."
