Kevin Costner recently revealed that he’s open to finding love again after his public split from Christine Baumgartner.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE on Thursday, June 20, the actor said that he’s “not going to let anything” harden his heart.
Suggesting that he loves the “idea of that possibility,” Costner revealed that the 69-year-old actor is ready to fall in love again.
Offering an insight into navigating his life after his former partner filed for divorce in May 2023 following 20 years of marriage.
He responded: "You just do it. You just keep talking, you keep coaching (the kids), you keep interested in what they're interested in.”
The father of seven, who shares sons Cayden, Hayes, and daughter Grace with Baumgartner, revealed that he’s hopeful of finding sparkle again.
The three-time Golden Globe winner explained: "Yeah, I think everybody would like to be in love. There's such a good feeling that's associated with that.”
"It may have to be defined in a different way. But yeah, I love the idea of that possibility,” he added.
Denying rumours of a romance with singer Jewel on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, June 19, Costner said: "Jewel and I are friends - we've never gone out, ever. She's special, and I don't want these rumours to ruin our friendship because that's what we have."
