Billy Ray Cyrus ‘relieved’ to get divorce from Firerose: Felt 'beyond deceived’
Miley Cyrus' father Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from Firerose in May
Billy Ray Cyrus is sighing with relief as he is about to get divorced from Firerose.
People cited a source on Wednesday, June 18, who spilled beans on the country star’s feelings about his divorce from his wife of seven months.
"[Cyrus is] more relieved every day that he’s done with his marriage," the insider said about Milly Cyrus’s father, who filed for the annulment of marriage from Firerose, 36, on May 23.
"His instincts have been correct all along," the source continued, "He believes she only married him for financial and other reasons."
"He’s convinced that she didn't marry him for love," the insider revealed, adding, "feels beyond deceived and is ready to move on alone."
According to court documents obtained by the outlet, Cyrus, 62, cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for their divorce.
Meanwhile, Firerose, in her counter complaint filed on Friday, June 14, accused him of "extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse."
In addition, she claimed that Cyrus filed for divorce just one day before she was scheduled to undergo a preventative double mastectomy.
Additionally, Cyrus recently added new claims to the slew of allegations made by both parties amid their ongoing divorce case.
On Monday, June 17, it was reported that Cyrus alleged Firerose of planning a "campaign to isolate" him from his family and "blocked at least one his daughters" from contacting him on any electronic devices.
