Taylor Swift’s close friend Gracie Abrams has recently praised the singer for showing strong face in the face of fear.
Speaking to Billboard, Gracie recalled she and Taylor had just finished a song together titled US when the fire reportedly broke out and how Taylor bravely extinguished a fire in her New York City apartment after a candle in the kitchen fell over.
Both Taylor and Gracie were enjoying drinks and dinner after the long songwriting session when the fire started.
Taylor soon grabbed a fire extinguisher and successfully put it out, shared Gracie.
Gracie told the outlet, “She was such a legend - I don't know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do.”
“We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks,” said the 24-year-old.
The outlet reported that the song Us will be on Gracie's new album (her second studio album) called The Secret of Us, which will be released on June 21.
Gracie, who is the daughter of movie-maker J.J. Abrams., reacted to the songs on Taylor’s latest music album.
She pointed out that it was songwriter and producer Aaron Dessener “tinkering away in the studio that inspired them to do a track together”.
Gracie remarked, “Something caught our ear at the same time very hard and fast.”
“So, we ran to the piano and started writing this song … I used to fantasise about that kind of a thing as a kid,” she explained.
