King Charles III, wo's in headlines about his health and relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, has raised eyebrows with his one big wish.
The 75-year-old is said to be desperate to see lots more of his US-based grandchildren. But, Charles’ eviction of the family from their Windsor home suggests he has other priorities, according to experts.
King Charles' heart-wrenching wish has been laid bare by an insider, claiming the monarch is "absolutely committed" to developing a relationship with Archie and Lilibet, and is not satisfied with only knowing them via video calls, according to the Mirror.
However, some experts and cynics question that if the king really wanted to see more of the Sussexes he wouldn’t have stripped them of their UK home.
Many believe the cancer-stricken King's decision has made it as difficult as possible for the Duke to visit his homeland to avoid him setting up a rival court.
Meghan and Harry's alleged mouthpiece Omid Scobie called the decision from Charles to evict Harry "a cheap shot from a wounded father bound by an institutional system that is often intolerant of human emotion."
In his book Endgame, Scobie claimed none other than Harry made this exact point to his father, responding, when told to pack his bags and clear out of Frogmore, "Don’t you want to see your grandchildren again?"
Frogmore was regarded by the Sussexes as the "only true safe option when visiting the United Kingdom," according to the author.
It comes amid reports about King Charles heartbreaking desire to meet American grandchildren, who live in Montecito with their parents since Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in 2020.
There are also reports that Prince Harry is searching for a permanent UK base as his friends do not visit him in the US due to rifts with his wife Meghan Markle.
