Kartik Aaryan shares experience of sacrificing his fee for 'Shehzada'

Kartik Aaryan revealed that he chose to waive his fee for his role in last year's action comedy Shehzada because of the film's financial difficulties.

In an interview with News 18, =the 33-year-old actor mentioned that he received producer credit for the Rohit Dhawan-directed film, which also featured Kriti Sanon.

The Luka Chuppi star highlighted that he took the decision when such gestures were not commonly discussed. 

He expressed regret that these actions by stars often go unnoticed in media coverage.

Kartik said, “It is not just me, a lot of stars do this and a lot bigger things. There is a simple mathematics. From directors, actors, to producers, everyone wants their films to work."

"No one wants to load their films. I don’t think anyone thinks, ‘No, no, I will charge what I want to, the film be damned.”

Previously, filmmakers Farah Khan and Kunal Kohli, as well as actors such as Kriti Sanon and Janhvi Kapoor, have also spoken about this issue.

On the professional front, Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film, Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan, is set to release on June 14th.
