Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, recently shared insights into her career decisions, expressing feeling "fortunate."
During a recent interview with Economic Times, the 31-year-old actress discussed the pivotal decisions that have had the greatest impact on her international appeal and recognition.
The Highway actress said, “It's tough to pinpoint what factors worked. But I've always believed that when you're talking about international appeal, you're talking about something that transcends language and boundaries. The answer to that for me is emotion, which transcends wide and far."
"When I'm consuming Korean, Malayalam, or German content, I'm not focusing on the language. I'm connecting with the basic story and emotion it conveys."
Alia further expressed her gratitude for the diversity of roles she has had the opportunity to portray in her career.
She remarked, "I have been very fortunate early in my career to get roles that offer a vast variety of emotional depth to play with. When I'm playing a character, I get very involved in it."
"My intention is always to go for different characters, and hopefully, that has come across to the audience. I wouldn't want to be pigeonholed into a specific type of film. I challenge myself to see if I can do different kinds of films," Alia added.
Additionally, she mentioned that signing up for Udta Punjab raised eyebrows, emphasizing her tendency to be motivated by challenges in her career.
The Dear Zindagi star concluded by stating that when audiences are presented with a variety of emotions, they instantly resonate with it.
Regarding her recent appearance, Alia graced the red carpet at the Met Gala 2024.
She will next be seen in the film Jigra, alongside Vedang Raina.
Moreover, she is also set to appear in Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
