WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for Mac users which will allow them to share status updates directly from their desktop.
Meta app’s new feature comes just after the recent rollout of a similar feature for Android devices. From any linked device, WhatsApp gained the capability to share images, videos, GIFs, text, and voice messages via status updates recently.
Beta testers can now find the new feature that lets them share status updates right from the status tab on their Mac, as per the latest WhatsApp beta for Mac version 24.11.73, which is available on the TestFlight app.
With the help of the new feature, Mac users can simply head over to the Status Updates tab and share a text or photo status with their connections, similar to what they can do using their phones. Earlier, Mac users were only allowed to view the status updates.
The freedom to manage their status updates directly from their desktop has been given to the users with the assistance of this feature. This makes it more convenient for those who spend a lot of time on their computers.
